What is the 25 kVA pad-mounted transformer?

25 kVA pad-mounted transformer is a distribution transformer for outdoor applications mounted on a concrete or fiberglass pad. It is fully enclosed in a robust steel or aluminum housing assuring protection against environmental elements and guaranteeing safety via the exclusion of live components from unauthorized access. The transformer mentioned in this case is a 25 kVA rated capacity transformer capable of operating small-scale commercial agencies, residential places, or light industrial enterprises. In medium voltage distribution systems, this transformer operates efficiently to step down voltages to lower utilization voltages between 2.4 and 34.5 kV to 120/240V or 277/480V. Main Components

  1. Core and Windings:
