Cold shrinkable outdoor/indoor cable termination is an advanced solution that seals and protects from weather hazards, high voltages, and harsh contaminating environments during both inside and outside installation of the high voltage cables. Cold shrink technology uses pre-expanded silicone or rubber tubing that shrinks onto the cable upon release to make a tight and weatherproof seal, with no need for heat. This method gives a fast and simple installation process without special tools, thereby safer and more effective in different field conditions. Cold shrinkable terminations offer exceptional protection against moisture, UV radiation, and temperature change and are ideal for outdoor use under demanding environmental exposure. The flexible, resilient materials provide constant pressure on the cable insulation to improve the strength and stability of insulation under electrical stress. Additionally, the design is compact enough for an indoor setup confined by limited space – where the insulation and mechanical protection are still reliable.
This Cold Shrinkable Outdoor / Indoor Cable Termination is designed with a stress control structure, actively distributing electrical stress at the cable end to improve reliability and operational safety in high-voltage applications.
Made from durable liquid silicone rubber ensuring a secure fit around the cable insulation, the terminations are made. It has excellent elasticity and good insulation, and all other parameters are uniform, which can greatly improve the insulation performance and stability.
