What is Porcelain Cable Bushing Outdoor Termination?

The Porcelain Cable Bushing Outdoor Termination is an especially strong component intended for protecting and terminating high-voltage cables in outdoor environments. This bushing is engineered for its ability to withstand extreme weather conditions and is characterized by a top-quality, high-quality porcelain body that assures superior electrical insulation as well as mechanical strength. Porcelain is a very good insulator and therefore only limits breaks in high voltages and thus protects high voltage systems from instability and safety. With a series of carefully shaped sheds or skirts on its outside surface, the design augments its performance by increasing the creepage distance. Main Components

  1. Terminal Connector

The terminal connector is made of high conductivity T2 copper to assure efficient and secure electrical connection, providing minimum resistance and power loss at the point at which the cable is terminated.

  1. Grading Ring

The Grading ring is cast from aluminum to distribute a uniform electric field throughout the insulator reducing the potential stress on itself. The feature inherent to this design, which minimizes radio interference, improves system stability in high-voltage applications.

  1. Porcelain Insulator

The main body of the Porcelain Cable Bushing Outdoor Termination consists of a high-strength porcelain insulator. It is an exceptional insulation with very good mechanical stability and can survive high voltages and the harshest environmental conditions.

  1. Stress Cone

The stress cone is formed with high-temperature vulcanized liquid silicone rubber, for the stress cone in effect distributes the electrical stress even within the bushing.   1. Insulating Filler

The silicone oil that fills the bushing insulates it and also reduces arcing while increasing thermal performance. This oil filling also helps reduce heat and thus maintain stable operation.

The supporting insulator is made from high-strength porcelain, which adds robustness to the design and mechanical support to the bushing, securing it in place inside the electrical system structure.

  1. Sealed Tail Tube

The sealed solid bushing tube is made from durable alloy and contributes to this environmental resistance. This component protects sources from moisture and dust and does not make the insulation corrupt.
