Single-phase Pole Transformer is a particular type of electrical equipment, that is electrically installed over specific utility poles, to perform a conversion of high voltage electricity into the low voltage commonly used for supplying residential, business, and small industry users. Its compact structure with emphasis on installation convenience and stable operation is convenient to install in areas with limited space and decentralized power supply. A simpler coil configuration for the transformer, consisting of a single high-voltage winding and a single low-voltage winding, achieves a single-phase power supply. It has two designs: oil-immersed or dry-type. Transformer oil immerses the oil-immersed transformer, and the dry-type transformer is more suitable in places with high fire protection requirements and is cooled by air circulation. The silicon sheets of their cores have high magnetic conductivity, thus they effectively reduce noise levels and no-load loss.

6. Application flexibility:
It applies to various environments, namely residential, small commercial, and agricultural, and can fulfill different energy needs.
a) The bearing capacity under a short circuit shall meet the requirements of GB/T 1094.5.
b) Overload capacity. The short-term overload capacity shall meet the requirements of GB/T 6451 and GB/T 1094.7.
c) Strength and sealing of corrugated oil tank:
1) The expansion coefficient of the corrugated oil tank shall not be less than 1.3 times, and there shall be no oil leakage when operating under the specified working conditions and load conditions.
2) The oil tank drain valve shall adopt a double-sealing structure.
3) Transformers with general structure oil tanks (including sealed transformers with diaphragms in oil storage cabinets) shall withstand a test pressure of 40kPa. Transformers with corrugated oil tanks (including oil tanks with elastic plate radiators): 315kVA and below shall withstand a test pressure of 20kPa; 400kVA and above shall withstand a test pressure of 15kPa.
d) Transformer life. The transformer is operated under the specified working conditions and load conditions and maintained by the instructions. The transformer’s life should be no less than 40 years.
e) Transformer safety protection devices should meet the requirements of GB/T 6451.
f) Oil temperature measuring devices should meet the requirements of GB/T 6451.
g) The technical conditions of the transformer and its accessories should meet the requirements of GB/T 6451:
1) There should be no water accumulation on the top of the oil tank, and there should be no dead corners inside the oil tank. The sealing surfaces of all flanges should be flat, and the sealing surfaces should be properly limited to prevent the sealing gasket from being over-pressurized and cracked and leaking after aging. The oil tank should be equipped with a thermometer seat, grounding plate, and hanging ladder.
2) 10kV fully sealed transformers use vacuum oil filling, and the transformer sealing test should meet the requirements of GB/T 6451. The mechanical strength test of the transformer oil tank should meet the requirements of GB/T 6451. The transformer oil tank should be made of a Q235A steel plate or higher-performance materials.
h) Bushing. 10kV uses pure porcelain bushing with a creepage distance of not less than 372mm and should have good anti-pollution ability and operating performance. The phase spacing of high-voltage bushings is ≥250mm, and the phase spacing of low-voltage bushings is ≥120mm. The rated voltage of the bushing should be compatible with the rated voltage of the transformer. The rated current of the bushing should be consistent with the maximum load capacity of the transformer. At the connection of the bushing terminal, the temperature rise of the air in Q/GDW 13002.1-20187 air is not more than 55K, and the temperature rise of the oil in oil is not more than 15K. The material of the bushing lead-out conductive rod should be T2 copper. If the conductor is connected by welding, phosphor copper welding should be used, and tin soldering should not be used.
i) Insulating oil:
1) Mineral insulating oil. The selected mineral insulating oil should be new oil that meets the requirements of GB/T 2536 and DL/T 1094.
2) Natural ester insulating oil. When the requirements for environmental protection and fire safety are high, natural ester insulating oil (burning point ≥ 300℃) that meets the requirements of DL/T 1811 should be used.
j) Sealing gasket. Anti-aging, anti-cracking, and anti-ultraviolet products should be used. All sealing surfaces should be well sealed, and measures should be taken to prevent oxidation and aging of the sealing gasket to extend the service life. It is required that there is no oil leakage when the transformer valve is closed.
k) The tap changer should meet the following requirements:
1) The tap changer operating mechanism should be equipped with positioning, limiting, and automatic return structures, and the gear position indication should be intuitive and clear; the inside and outside of the box cover opening should adopt a double sealing structure; a stainless steel rain cover with rainproof seal should be used, and the rain cover should have self-locking measures for the positioning structure. The cover should be easy and convenient to position and screw in and have a self-locking prompt function.
2) The moving contact of the tap-changer body should have the function of automatic return to the original position when shifting, the operating feel, and the sound of the moving contact in place. The connection between the tap lead and the static contact of the switch should be cold-pressed and not manually clamped. The disc-shaped switch with better rigidity of the body should be used first. There should be an insulating partition between the switch body and the transformer body to improve the insulation reliability between the transformer body and the switch.
l) Fully sealed oil-immersed transformers of 800kVA and above should be equipped with multi-function protection devices.
(m) Requirements for accessories:
1) The main accessories should have a test report from a provincial or higher inspection unit.
2) All accessories should have no oil leakage points, and the paint of the accessories should be consistent with the body.
3) All purchased parts should be strictly selected and accepted, and a test report should be provided.
4) The release pressure of the pressure relief valve should be less than the sealing test pressure required in GB/T 6451, and it should have moisture-proof and waterproof functions.
5) Three-phase transformers with a capacity of 400kVA and below should be equipped with high and low-voltage pile head equipment wire clamps and insulating shields, of which the high voltage is equipped with red, green, and yellow, and the low voltage is equipped with red, green, yellow and black.
n) Body structure and material:
1) The core is made of silicon steel sheet (including closed coil core type and stacked core type). High-quality cold-rolled, high-magnetic permeability, grain-oriented silicon steel sheet should be selected. The core adopts a full oblique seam, hole-free binding, and channel steel clamp structure. All coil materials are made of copper wire or copper foil. If enameled copper wire is used, high-quality enameled copper wire should be used. All leads and conductive plates should be insulated.
2) The core is an amorphous alloy. All coil materials are made of copper wire or copper foil made of oxygen-free semi-hard copper material. All leads and conductive plates should be insulated. The core material is an amorphous alloy strip with soft magnetic properties. The core is suspended and shall not be subjected to force.
o) The body of the transformer shall not be suspended in the air, and measures shall be taken to prevent the fastening bolts from loosening.
p) Oil level gauge. For transformers with oil storage cabinets, an oil level gauge shall be installed at one end of the oil storage cabinet. The volume of the oil storage cabinet shall ensure that the oil does not overflow under the highest ambient temperature and allowable load conditions. When the ambient temperature is the lowest and the transformer is not put into operation, the oil level gauge shall indicate the oil level. The oil pillow shall have a drain device for filling and draining oil and a desiccant with an oil seal.
q) Transformers with no air gap in the oil tank of a capacity of 800kVA and above shall be equipped with a gas relay.
