Introduction
The composite post insulator with porcelain core (instead of FRP core rod) for the high-voltage disconnector in the substation consists of a silicone rubber umbrella sleeve, high-strength porcelain core, and end metal accessories. This design not only enhances the mechanical strength of the insulator, but also combines the superior performance of the composite insulator, and is widely used in UHV projects.

Problem Description
The traditional FRP core rod has problems such as insufficient mechanical strength, poor pollution resistance, and insufficient impact resistance in high-voltage disconnectors, which affects its application and reliability in high-voltage systems.

Solutions
1. Product Definition
The composite post insulator with porcelain core (instead of FRP core rod) for the high-voltage disconnector in the substation consists of the following parts:
Silicone rubber umbrella sleeve: provides external insulation protection and excellent hydrophobicity.
High-strength porcelain core: provides internal insulation and mechanical connection support.
End metal accessories: ensure the reliability of the connection.
The porcelain core adopts a high-strength porcelain material formula and advanced isostatic pressing dry molding process, and the silicone rubber umbrella sleeve is injected on the surface of the porcelain core, which not only ensures the mechanical properties but also has the characteristics of composite insulators.

2. Implementation standards
IEC 60273: Characteristics of Indoor and Outdoor Post Insulators for Systems with Nominal Voltages Greater Than 1000 V
GB/T 8287.2: Indoor and outdoor post insulators for systems with a nominal voltage higher than 1000V – Part 2 Dimensions and Characteristics
GB/T 25096: Definition, test methods, and acceptance criteria for station post composite insulators for substations with AC voltage higher than 1000V

3. Technical requirements for porcelain parts
Porcelain parts shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 772;
Porcelain parts are made of high-grade, compact, and uniform raw materials, are manufactured by isostatic pressing dry molding, and are sintered and porcelainized completely and evenly;
The porcelain parts of the insulator without glue-mounted flanges meet the requirements of the impact test;
The porcelain parts of the insulator are subjected to ultrasonic flaw detection one by one according to the provisions of JB/T 9674;
The porcelain parts of the insulator shall be subjected to a temperature cycle test as required before glue-mounting.

Advantages of porcelain core (instead of FRP core rod) composite post insulator
1>. Stable and reliable mechanical properties
The connection area between the porcelain core and the metal accessories adopts a cement adhesive bonding structure, which is less affected by temperature, has high mechanical strength, and is almost unaffected by corrosion. The high-strength porcelain core ensures the rigidity of the product and is almost not deformed under mechanical bending load.
2>. Excellent pollution flashover resistance
The silicone rubber umbrella sleeve has good hydrophobicity and hydrophobicity migration, which improves the power frequency wet flashover voltage, and pollution flashover resistance. At the same time, the silicone rubber umbrella skirt has good wind and rain self-cleaning ability, slow dirt accumulation speed, easy cleaning, and is particularly suitable for dusty and dirty environments.
3>. Strong impact resistance
The surface of the porcelain core is firmly injected with a silicone rubber umbrella sleeve, which has good impact resistance, reduces the breakdown or bursting of porcelain parts caused by sudden changes in environmental temperature or lightning strikes, and reduces line maintenance costs.
4>. Lightweight, easy to transport, install and maintain
Compared with the same type of porcelain insulators, the weight of the porcelain core (instead of FRP core rod) composite pillar insulator is reduced by 1/3, which reduces the labor intensity of installation and the load-bearing pressure of the tower. It can well withstand the bending moment and reduce the damage of periodic impact force to the tower on the tension string.

Verification solutions
Wishpower will check the mechanical strength and connection stability of the insulator, test the pollution flashover performance and impact capacity, and conduct long-term aging and environmental adaptability tests and other related professional tests and tests.
